Next Stop Madrid can also be a platform to meet new friends, colleagues, partners — or whatever comes your way.
Hi future traveler, Jorge here! I’m the creator of Next Stop Madrid.
A few years ago, I also arrived in Madrid with lots of questions and very few answers.
Today, after living here, studying, doing internships, working for different companies, and becoming a real estate agent, I want to help others find their place in this city.
That’s why I decided to create Next Stop Madrid — to build a team that supports those who are about to take that same leap.
May our experience — and our mistakes — help others come to Madrid with greater peace of mind.
Not just yours, but your family’s too. We know that the people we leave behind are often the ones who worry the most about us.
Madrid is a very safe city, but it’s always good to know the local tips so you’re not caught off guard.
We love our life in this city. And if we can help others experience it in a legal and safe way, we absolutely will.
Finding a place to live can be stressful. We want to equip you with knowledge and options so you can make the best choice.
There’s tons of info online, but we believe it’s always better to hear from someone who’s been through it themselves.
Next Stop Madrid can also be a platform to meet new friends, colleagues, partners — or whatever comes your way.
I’m a Mexican who grew up in Mexico City. I studied architecture in Mexico and Sweden, and marketing in both Mexico and Spain.
Ever since I started traveling, I haven’t stopped. I truly believe there’s incredible value in diversity and in getting to know places and people that are different from what we’re used to. I’m convinced that travel fuels knowledge and is key to understanding that the world is far more diverse than we think. It’s also the perfect opportunity to challenge ourselves.
I arrived in Madrid four years ago and, in my experience, it may not strike visitors as the most spectacular tourist city at first glance (though of course, there are highlights), but without a doubt, its best asset is its lifestyle — going out for tapas, the endless bars and restaurants, the safety, how walkable it is, the rich cultural scene, the neighborhood feel combined with the perks of a European capital… and so much more.
